The Fall Calendar at Reynolds Lake Oconee Isn't One Calendar. It's Three.

Ask five people at Reynolds Lake Oconee what's happening this fall and you'll get five different answers, not because nobody's paying attention, but because nobody's watching the same list. The club runs its own calendar. Oconee Performing Arts Society runs a separate nonprofit season with its own ticketing and its own sponsors. Visit Lake Oconee runs a third, wider regional feed that pulls in everything from farmers markets to festival announcements. One example is the season's biggest night. Rhythm & Brews, the outdoor concert that closes out October at Sandy Creek Barn, has been presented in past years by Reynolds Lake Oconee in collaboration with OPAS and Visit Lake Oconee together. The artists represent several eras of popular music: 38 Special brings a Southern rock sound, while Barenaked Ladies, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Sugar Ray, and Vertical Horizon are associated with the '90s and early 2000s. The bookings vary from year to year rather than moving steadily forward in time. If the pattern continues, next year's booking may also feature an act associated with one of those eras.

The practical takeaway is about timing, not trivia. Both ticket tiers for the 2025 show sold out well before the event, and the festival remains a 21-and-over, rain-or-shine night with shuttle service running from Harmony Crossing and from inside Reynolds. The Barn Doing All the Work

None of this calendar functions without one structure. Sandy Creek Barn wasn't built for Reynolds. It was built in the early 1800s in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, by a lumberman named Gideon Widemire, and it sat there for roughly two centuries before timber-frame builder Charles Howell found it in July 2005 and had it dismantled, moved, and reassembled on what's now Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds. The finished structure runs 52 feet by 64 feet, framed in Eastern hemlock with an English-style canted purlin roof, sitting on more than 800 acres alongside a 44-acre stocked lake and a two-story boathouse.

That history is why the venue reads as intimate rather than corporate, even when it's hosting a national touring act. It's also the home of Sandy Creek Sessions, a smaller acoustic dinner-concert series that's been running since 2017 and has hosted Adam Wakefield, runner-up on Season 10 of The Voice, CCMA Female Artist of the Year Meghan Patrick, and Earl Bud Lee, the co-writer of Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places." Two of its most frequent performers are local: Eric Dodd, a Lake Oconee native whose single "The Reason" has passed three million streams, and Matt Rogers, an Eatonton native and Georgia Country Awards Overall Artist of the Year. Rogers has called the venue "one of the most beautiful locations anywhere to me," and it's worth noting that's a musician who's played plenty of rooms saying that about a barn built for hay, not headliners.

• OPAS events require their own subscription or ticket purchase separate from anything the club manages, so following Reynolds' own calendar alone will not surface the September Candlelight Series or the November Broadway program.
• The Concert Truck's neighborhood stops are typically open beyond a single gated community, which means checking OPAS directly is the only way to know if a performance is landing somewhere convenient to you.
• Rhythm & Brews tickets have sold out in both tiers the past two years running. If the October 23 date matters to your calendar, treat early purchase as the default plan rather than the backup one.
