None of this calendar functions without one structure. Sandy Creek Barn wasn't built for Reynolds. It was built in the early 1800s in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, by a lumberman named Gideon Widemire, and it sat there for roughly two centuries before timber-frame builder Charles Howell found it in July 2005 and had it dismantled, moved, and reassembled on what's now Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds. The finished structure runs 52 feet by 64 feet, framed in Eastern hemlock with an English-style canted purlin roof, sitting on more than 800 acres alongside a 44-acre stocked lake and a two-story boathouse.

That history is why the venue reads as intimate rather than corporate, even when it's hosting a national touring act.
