A Parisian Soirée on the Lake: “Opera du Paris”

That was the inspiration for hosting “Opera du Paris,” a unique open house experience held at 1240 Armor Point — a truly breathtaking new listing in Reynolds Lake Oconee. Inspired by the romance and elegance of Paris, the evening was designed to be more than a showcase — it was a celebration of the arts, architecture, and ambiance.

From the moment I stepped into this home, I knew it was something special. Designed by Vincent Betancourt of Revived Homes, 1240 Armor Point is unlike anything else at Lake Oconee — a true design masterpiece. With its dramatic 30-foot ceilings, intricate detailing, and European sensibility, the home carries the sophistication of a Parisian estate, yet it’s warm, inviting, and fully in harmony with its serene lakefront setting.

“Every Home Has a Story,” and that is how Opera du Paris was born. The vision was to curate an evening that reflected the soul of the fabulous property and introduce it not just to the local agents but also to some of the top luxury brokers from Atlanta. We also collaborated with a leading luxury lifestyle publication read by affluent audiences in prominent areas.

Guests were welcomed with champagne, French 75, and served with French-inspired hors d’oeuvres like duck crepes and delicate Gougères prepared by The Chef and The Wife. A stunning surprise awaited when an opera singer emerged on the second-floor balcony to fill the grand living room with music — the soaring ceilings and elegant lines of the architecture made it an acoustic dream.

The evening ended on a sweet note, thanks to a selection of exquisite French desserts by Pâtisserie on Main, a charming new bakery in nearby Madison. It was a magical, immersive experience — one that told the story of Armor Point far better than any brochure ever could. At Luxury Lake Oconee, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all marketing.
